The Stallion range of pumps is an equivalent to the Warman & Metso range, with parts interchangeability and have been engineered to provide all of the above and more.

PF Pumps - Dewatering

General Overview:

The PF pump range has been designed to offer reliability in dewatering and process water applications. PF Pumps are supplied standard with high-chrome wet ends, and are available with stuffing box or expeller sealing arrangements. Alternative materials available on request.

PF Pump

Bearing Assembly:

  • Supplied standard with hardened shaft sleeve, giving shaft longer lifespan.
  • Oil bath bearing housing.
  • Maximum power: 300kW - FP150 / 150kW - FP100

Casing:

  • Design allows for ease of rotation & maintenance.

Impeller:

  • Closed impeller design to increase effeciency. 
  • Adjustable impeller, helps maintain effeciency. 
  • Effeciencies as high as 70%. 
  • Total head up to 140m. 
  • Pump-out vanes on both shrouds, helping to minimize recirculation and reduce pressure in the stuffing box. 

Sealing Options:

  • Stuffing Box.
  • Expeller Seal. 

AH Metal Slurry Pumps

General Overview:

The AH range has been designed for corrosive and erosive slurries. A combination of wet end materials are available such as chrome, rubber, various grades of stainless steel & alloys as well as a newly developed SH46 material.

  • Dimensional interchangability to suit heavy duty bearing assemblies.

Casing:

DTV Vertical Spindle Pumps

General Overview:

The DTV pump range is suited to all sump applications; spillage, carbon transfer etc. Various column lengths and materials of construction are available. chrome, rubber & stainless steel are suited for corrosive and/or abrasive sump applications.

Bearing Assembly:

  • Grease lubricated and sealed with labyrinths and V-seals. 
  • The upper and lower bearings are grease purged. 
  • Taper roller bearings are used on drive and non-drive end bearings.

Casing:

  • Salvic joints and two quick release cotters are used to lock the casing in place, allowing for ease of maintenance.

Impeller:

  • Open 5-vane top suction impeller design enables the handling of large solids.

Strainer:

  • Ease of maintenance design with quick release cotters.

QV-65 Vertical Spindle Pumps

General Overview:

The QV-65 vertical spindle range is suited for all sump applications; spillage & carbon transfer. Available in different spindle lengths and materials of construction.

Sala ST Vertical Spindle Pumps

General Overview:

Our Sala ST range of pumps are specifically designed to handle highly abrasive slurries. Our robust pumps also feature a simple design aimed at making installation and maintenance an easy task.

Sala ST Vertical Spindle Pump

Bearing Assembly:

  • Installed bearings run a minimum of 60000 hours, and are double sealed against contamination.
  • Impeller clearance is a simple adjustment of the shaft and bearing housing assembly.

Cantilever Design:

  • Our Sala ST pumps have no stuffing box, submerged bearings or seals, which guarantees minimum maintenance, while eliminating any requirement for flushing or sealing water.

Wear Parts:

  • All pumps are supplied standard in various options of natural rubber & 27% chrome, with stainless steel and other materials available on request.

Impeller & Casing: 

  • Type “S”: A semi-open impeller and casing with spray holes. A portion of slurry pumped returns to the sump, allowing for agitation of solids and de-aeration of the pump, helping to prevent air blockage.
  • Type “A”: A semi-open impeller with slurry agitator and extended shaft. This design is well suited for pumping course, rapid settling solids.

VF Froth Pumps

General Overview: 

Boost your froth pumping levels with the froth pump that has been designed to ensure high efficiency with minimal maintenance. Application areas include: Mineral mining process plants, pulp, paper, sewage and effluent.

VF80 Froth Pump

Design Background: 

When it came to the design of our Froth Pump, the main concern was reducing the froth factor considerably. We achieved this by creating a larger settling area in the tank, through the addition of a spiral and increased the vortex finder size. 

  • The spiral increases the surface area inside the tank and reduces the travel distance of the escaping air. 
  • The spiral induces cyclonic flow from the feed pipe to the impeller eye not withstanding the low mass of the froth. 
  • The spiral also prevents the liquid climbing the tank wall and this energy is diverted in feeding the slurry into the impeller.

Pump Characteristics:

  • Built-in vortex breaker in the inlet (suction) boosts efficiency by ensuring that the media reports to the impeller eye. 
  • Deflector plate housed within the tank prevents the formation of a vortex, swilling and spillage. 
  • The cantilever design shaft enables the pump to operate without submerged shaft seals, bearings or stuffing box. 
  • Large capacity tank allows for breaking down of froth. 
  • Pumps are supplied as free standing integrated units. Simple to install. No foundations or alignment required. 
  • South African designed and manufactured, resulting in a pump that operates under the most arduous conditions. 
  • Discharge position can be rotated through 360º. 
  • Open top design prevents air blocking.
  • Pump can run dry for long periods without damage.
